Internet Radio

Afternoon all

I don't know how many of you are familiar with bbc 6 music, a great internet radio station. I'm especially referring to the Don Letts and Huey Morgan shows, great choice of music and predominantly bass heavy (a good thing, right?). As much as this sounds like an advert for the radio station, it's not. My question is....

Anyone else got any good internet radio reccomendations? I'm just starting a reeeaallly long summer holiday, the sun is shining and good radio makes everything, well, just makes everything.

KEXP is one of my fav's.

I never miss this program on my local university station:

It's a great mix of Krautrock, heavy stoner and trippy Jazz stuff.

Then there's Henry Rollins' show on KCRW and he always has a good mix of stuff along with his great rants.

Rock on!

NEGB1 Radio is a great internet radio website! They're based in Massachusetts and support local bands/musicians from all over the country, not just New England! Every month they do a countdown of the 20 most requested local bands. My band has been on the Local Top 20 three months in a row too.

itunes has some good stuff under International. There's a French roots reggae station called M2 SUNSHINE that seems to know the good from the bad. A station called Radio Darvish plays traditional Persian music. I like that one. IIRC, Pat Metheny has his own radio station, too.
