Interview...help

Sign in to disble this ad
Okay, so, im in my last year at high school, recently i sent an application off to a local collage. Today i recived my reply. I have to perform two contrasting peices of music on my bass...the bass i bought 3 days ago...the first bass that i ever have bought. My friends though it was hilarious and told me to go and play three blind mice. another shock was that the person interviewing me is Peter Frampton, ring a bell?
Anyway i need to know two very baisic yet impressive songs...i have 5 days to learn them

Did you read the application requirements before you sent the application?

Do you know how to play bass? Have you played bass before? Do you read music?

How long do you have to play?

If you can't be prepared in time, call off the audition. Don't waste anyone's time and ruin your reputation from the start.

Why did you apply? What did you expect? You'll be competing with people who already know what they are doing.

You might want to check out the following TB thread: So you want to be a music major?

Good luck.

If you have been accepted --- the audition is to find what you need. Be honest and do your best.

If you are auditing for acceptance --- don't get your hopes up.

Your name sake couldn't play a note on bass, that's why Steve Jones played all the bass lines on never mind the bollocks.
