You're not supposed to understand it, you're supposed to buy it.

It has a tube in it, and when you put tubes in things, they magically sound better.

Hi.

If anything needs harmonic enrichment, it's the crappy digital compressed media.

Looks cool, even though the carbon edition looks even cooler .

Might buy one of the more advanced models.

Regards
Sam

I looks cool, but isn't that practical. Solid state audio stuff is way better.

Um, not necessarily. There's both great and crap tube stuff, and great and crap SS stuff.

ZVex also makes something like this.

I'm not buying one until they put a sextet of 6550's in it!

Now you can have your 64 KBPS m4as distorted with odd order harmonics!

I am no audiophile by any means, I mean I fully bought a pair of $10 earplugs for my ipod, but I only use my ipod for traveling. On my laptop however, it's a different story. I have a fairly nice pair of audio technica headphones, the audio out on the macbook has a fairly good signal, and I tend to rip all my CDs in 192 kbps or higher then store them on my external HDD.

Keep in mind, there are many Audiophile forums where posters say they just dropped $400 on GOLD OR SILVER PLATED CABLES like it's NOTHING. There is some INSANELY priced audio wire that I can't remember the name of, but it's like 10,000 USD for a foot.

Also, a lot of Audiophile forums will shut down threads talking about double blind testing...

I love music, I want it to be heard in the best way it can, but more often than not it involves me going out of my house, spending my $6 bucks and feeling the bass rumble through the floor and the guitars cut through the air like knives.
