Yes Steve Harris fans, August 16th... wait no more. From what I understand it is a new studio album. I did a search for "Iron Maiden" and I didn't see it posted here so forgive me if it is a dupe.

IronMaiden.com has a free MP3 download of "El Dorado"

Nicko owns Rock N' Roll ribs here in South Florida. Two weekends ago my drummer played with Dave "The Beast" Spitz and their Sabbath tribute War Pigs who covered a bunch of Dio tunes and Nicko came in later and jammed with Dave and the other guys from War Pigs. It was to kick off the new tour and remind people of the restaurant. Awesome ribs BTW!!!

I was there too. Those guys never disappoint. I would have liked to hear more bass in the mix, but I heard an occasional clank cutting through.

BTW... it was my 6 year olds second time to see them. He had a great time.

Can't wait. Love Maiden to bits. We're seeing them at Sonisphere here in the UK - taking the whole family along to baptise the kids in the glory that is Maiden.

I read somewhere that the current set-list on tour is favouring their more recent material. Is this true? Would be cool to hear some of these newer songs live - haven't seen them live since Bruce's last tour before the Blaze era.

Sounds great, but it's not my favorite Maiden style.
Hope the album is better!

yeah, its mainly newer songs, with i thing fear of the dark, hallowed, number of the beast, and wrathchild being the older ones. Really lookin forward to songs from brave new world, really liked those, and saw them for the first time, and my first concert, last tour. Got pit tickets for me and my best friend, and i am super excited!

Drove out to Chicago and got some scalped tickets a couple years back (it was the only way, I assure you). Most I've ever paid for a show (and I've driven 8 hours to see Yes!), but it was so so so good

They didn't do The Trooper or Revelations. My six year old was mad as we were leaving. It was kinda funny.

I explained to him that at some point you have to make a decision as a band to keep playing the same songs that made you successful or try to move forward with new songs. He actually got it....he never ceases to amaze me. Neither does Maiden.

Unfortunately I missed the Phoenix show last night. Circumstances just wouldn't cooperate with me.

IIRC, Maiden has a protocol for their tours...one tour features their classics, and the next tour is top-heavy with promoting their new stuff (with a few classics thrown in for good measure).

Wouldn't much matter to me though. Seeing Harris and the guys playing ANYTHING would be a great night!

Anyone mind posting or pm'img their set list for this tour? I'm going with a guy who doesn't know much about them and thought I'd get him familiar with some of the material.

Yeah, they're going know where near me. The closest they're coming is Washington, D.C. (I live in North East Florida). However, I told my mom, and she said we were tying to do a sightseeing tour up there anyways, and said she might drive us even if we don't. I am so excited. Two of my favorite bands (can't wait to see John Myung!) and I'm taking a friend. I hope to all deities and beyond that ticket prices are reasonable. I don't mind sitting on top of the roof, Mr. Ticket Man. Really.
