The Isle of Dead Musicians

I am looking to form a band after being kickec out of my last one before it ever got off the ground. So last night I met with some fellow women who want to start an all girl band. but first I wanted to get together and talk about our influences, styles of music we would play and where we want the band to go etc. If we were on the same page then I would proceed with possibly forming a band.
We got off the topic a bit and started talking about dead musicians. The lady who is the prospective guitar player is convinced that there is some island somewhere in the ocean that no one knows about where musicans who are supposedly dead go to live. She says Jim Morrison, Hank Williams, Janis Joplin, Hendrix, and all other musicans that are dead are there. Basicaly each one faked their death and went off to this island secretly. I asked her to explain how musicans who were in accidents like Randy Rhoads, Cliff Burton and Duane Allman. she claims that they were not accidents but staged to look like accidents. At this point things were getting just too weird for me. I said Ok if that is what you believe then that is what you believe. There was an awkward silence then we moved on to talking about our gear. We never did come back to this topic. But if we do form a band I know I will hear about it many more times. Oh boy!

That sounds pretty entertaining.

I'd stick with it a little while

There's a short story based on that...a place where all the dead musicians are. I think it's a Stephen King short story. Anyone know what I'm talking about???

I remember the time I took to much Benedryl and I had thoughts like that.

If you don't want to have conversations like that make sure that she avoids the following.

Shrooms
To much Dyphenhydromine (Benedryl)
beer & hard liquor mixes (boiler makers come to mind)
Smoking weed with any of the above

The above mentioned substances have also been known to make you think that Gumby comes into your room and steals your drum sticks and that he is actually Jim Morrisons soul.

Trust me on this.

Would make a neat movie or TV show, but not really a believable real-life story.

Ha ha! Good luck!
I tried to form a girls band, and was in one before that, that never quite got off the ground. A few of them were a bit strange..... one even used to leave a tape recorder recording conversations when she left the room! ...er... we found out when she left!

.... still.... my replacement when I left was not too popular - she was a bit too bossy and overpowering and liked to dress in very short skirts, fishnets and high heels. Turned out 'she' was a man undergoing a sex change

It takes all sorts!
