It's a great feeling no matter the instrument, though bass is especially pleasing.

For sure - it's not possible for a band to be great unless the bass player (and drummer) are competent, understand each other, and fulfill their role as a team. We are not so much like linemen in football as we are like catchers in baseball. Our decisions have profound effect upon the musical direction of the band, and we can utterly change it with a single note.

It's a great feeling for sure, when you can practically see the mojo flowing.

I agree! There's Nothing that ties the Drummer & Guitarist together like a Good Bass Player who's Found his Groove, and is In the Zone!

Yes, amazing. To me, nothing is a sexier sounding instrument than a bass played well. I can't even imagine NOT being a bassist. Even my farts are bass==sometimes even a double stop!!

I love being in "The Zone". Eyes squeezed shut, tongue lolling out, maybe drooling a little, and just feeling it!

Performing in general is the best! Especially when EVERYTHING comes together, the groove, the mix, the crowd, the band performance, etc.....

There are days where I just come home, throw on a movie and make dinner, and somehow end up in the back room with my bass, the movie playing credits, cold dinner, thumping out grooves.

Which means I'm paying too much for food and electricity. I could probably buy new strings instead...
