Yes friends, my band Prototype is going to be opening for the Black Eyed Peas starting in February. That's right, yours truly is going to be performing in front of 50,000 plus people a night for a solid two months. This will be the most people seeing an Ovation Magnum at one time since Journey was touring in the 70's.
Staples Center, HP Pavillion, Arco Arena, Tacoma Dome... holy [expletive] [deity].
How psyched am I? Quite a bit. I've been playing in bars and clubs for years and years, mostly in front of indifferent and/or confused audiences who didn't give a rats ass who I was or how much time I've put in on my instrument. Now I get to play in front of 50,000 people who just want me to get off the stage so they can see Fergie instead!
Can I get a "hell yeah", my brothers and sisters?

EDIT: Just got a shot of the stage from the tour rehearsal. Oh god.

It's milestones and achievements like this that keep us bassists going!
Make the most of it, enjoy yourself, enjoy the crowd and get some contacts. BEP are massive; imagine what being in their (or even their entourage) address book could do for you?
