Now I guess the only question left is whether they choose to show up or not! They have every right to snub, but I think they're just way too classy for that kind of thing.
Weird... is that a little bit of Canadian pride welling up in my heart?

I'm glad they don't care, but it's also nice to see them in.
Next order of business: Yes.

They've buried the hatchet with the rock press, and they are enjoying the fruits and revenge of the proverbial "life well-lived."
In Columbus, Ohio, as a high school freshman in 1974, my friends and I used to tune into WMMS Cleveland and were among the first this side of the border to hear these amazing strains from The Great White North. I was literally the first kid in my neighborhood to buy the first Rush self-titled release, which, a couple of years later I was lucky enough to have signed by Neil, Alex, and Geddy.
This is truly a momentous occasion. I'll actually be tuning in for the ceremony this time around.

Congrats to some of the most UN-rock star rock stars ever!

I'm not 100% up to snuff on how this works but I remember last time I saw an induction ceremony, a lot of bands / people got in. |

It's usually another rock star, generally someone from the younger generation that was influenced by the inductee. My money's on Dave Grohl or Les Claypool, both pretty big names who have made their love of Rush well known.

| | | | I think fellow Canadian rocker and their good friend Kim Mitchell would be a great choice to present their induction speech.
By the way, I happen to have very odd Rush item. I own a vinyl copy of Fly By Night that actually has the same songs pressed on both sides even though the labels have the Side A and Side B song lists. |
