ive been toying withthis idea for a month or so now , basically im ready for some new gear , new sounds to be more precise but i dont want to get another job on top of studying , so what im thinking of doing is starting off by looking into the market where i live for background music ie: weddings, parties anything , then i want to begin with a classy three piece band.
the thing is i dont want a guitard because for the last three years ive been working my ass off trying to develop my technique / style which renders the guitar un-required, basically hold down the low down while keeping a consistent chordal/harmony with the melody , its only now that im starting to get there , not that i even know how im doing it because i gave up on learning songs a while ago and am happy that i can pick akey by ear and follow most styles of music becuase in stead of learning songs ive just learnt grooves, and tried to maintain my theoretical knowledge but just learnt grooves to all world/modern/etc etc styles

derailed myself

anyways i feel now that i need this three piece thing to happen , and since i started playing music ive always had the episode of the simpsons with bleeding gums murphy and the jazz violin player , "they kept looking at me as though i was playing to many augmented ninths pfft!"
so afew questions
*has any one ver played with a jazz and that vast umbrella style violin player , ive layed with folk and bluegrass girls an guys before but this is something i want to do so bad
*also if i find a violin player interested what other instrument would compliment the two of us?
any other random tb help and general banter is always hoped for and relished

thank you kindly

Hard to understand much of your post there, but as far as musicians that would compliment a bassist and a violinist, I'd say:
drummer/percussion
tenor/baritone sax
cello
accordion/bandoneon
piano

I would second a sax or a piano player
