I've jammed the lock on my Shergold case...can't get the bass out!

OK, before anyone says it, I'm an idiot. I know.

Anyway, I put my S'gold in her hard case last night and went to bed. This morning when I went to get her back out the top lock of the case jammed and now I can't get the case open.

I haven't got a key before anyone asks and the lock IS rusted. But normally they open without bother.

Any help?

Screwdriver. Definitely a screwdriver. Or some anti-rust spray and a prayer.

I'll start out nice.
The case loks I've seen have all been pretty wimpy; I'd just break it and move on. Call it mojo.

If you want some more immediate (and violent) action you could always pry the lock off the case.

Hammer and screwdriver. Don't be afraid to give it a bit of force.

WD 40 and a heavey paper clip straightened out, if that doesn't work try to flex the case enough to pop the lock via a small screw driver

Oh noes! Another terrible calamity!

Why don't you use an axe to chop it out?

Break or screw the lock off.

But think about this: Maybe this is a higher power's way of telling you not to play? Well that or to get a decent case.
