Jaco movie?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm really into documentaries and movies about famous musicians from the past. Wouldn't it be cool if they made a movie about Jaco's early life leading up to his sudden death?

I wonder who would play Jaco's character...

Any thoughts?

Haha - true. Johnny Depp could play anyone LOL.

But maybe it would have to be someone with a bass background assuming there would be a lot of bass playing scenes?

The Soloist

Anyone hear about this movie? The plot line seems to be parallel to Jaco's story, a troubled genius instrumentalist and his rise and fall.

Also

I'd want to see Chris Katan, late of SNL in the part. He's visually correct for it, and he does crazy pretty well.

Meh, not too into it from what I saw from the trailer.

Another story of a talented homeless person and a writer who milks their incredible past to keep his job at the newspaper...

I like the Jaco movie idea...he has a great story

Y'know who would be great to play Jaco? Heath Ledger or Paul Newman.

Why not just get Jaco to play himself?

I missed that one. I thought it must have been some Jimmy Stewart or mickey Rooney film from the 40's or 50's. Hollywood loves a successful theme, eh?
