national anthem (jazz) - YouTube

A couple buddies and I performed the national anthem today at school and decided to do a different take on a traditional song since our school seems to always keep it super traditional with a acapella singer(s). Besides one time where a guitarist did a hendrix style anthem, we are the only ones to do an instrumental. We got compliments from staff and students, so we're assuming that it went well

BE WARNED: the recording was done with a flip camera and in an auditorium, so the bass and kick drum were pretty much cut out unfortunately. The live mix was great though! But you can still hear the awesome vibes player, so thats what counts!!

i was just doing a walking line on a Bb scale then playing the ending in unison with the vibes player, so not like i was being too interesting anyways:P
