Whole Lotta Love struck me as an odd choice of song to represent Britain, given that it was pretty much "borrowed" from Muddy Waters!

I quite liked it and I think it made you realise what was missing from the Beijing show..?

So the Chinese put on a spectacular show which was very tasteful and technically brilliant - but it was all lacking personality and any kind of humour!

I thought the 8 minute British/London presentation immediately showed more character and a kind of cheeky humour...?

It was like - here's a great old school musician paired with the latest young singer - like chalk and cheese - but it worked!!

Honestly I thought it was terrible. Absolutely murdered the song IMO and the guitar was barely audible. I didn't really find any intentional humour in the performance.

no doubt I like how even though the hair has changed and the wrinkles are more, he still makes that pagey face with his lips when he is jamming....Plant did the same thing too.....My neice and her friends who all play a little bass or guitar like to imitate his look they all do the lip thing too when they are playing and I have showed them some Zep riffs on guitar and bass it is cool to see Jonhas Brothers era girls rocking to Led Zep....and at 14 they think page and plant are hot...atleast back in there "better looking" days.

I thought it was pretty cool. I was surprised that they chose Page and not McCartney, but thats alright. The worst thing was that my daughter thought Led Zeppelin was one guy and that was his name. All I could do was place my face in my hands and weep for the future at that point. Well not really, but I did give her a lot of crap about it

One of my favorite idioms! And appropriately, so very British. There's an academic book on music composition by British composer Reginald Smith Brindle where he writes "[integral serialism] forged a completely new musical language, as different from anything that had gone before (except Webern) as chalk from cheese", I always loved that observation.

I thought the pairing of Page and that chick was really bad. I didn't like how she sang the song at all.

You know, Bonzo's the dead member of Zep, not Plant. Let him sing, I'm sure he wouldn't have minded.

I'm not a big fan of Leona Lewis - but I thought it was interesting to hear a female vocalist sing a Led Zep tune - I've heard Plant sing it many times and it would have added nothing.

But this made me think - I've never heard a Led Zep cover by a female singer....?
