It looks off-balance

Like he needs to rest his right elbow on the back end of it, like The Ox did.

John played this Bass in 3 official Releases:
1. In the "Princes of the Universe" Video (That great "Highlander" like Video, with Mercury fighting against Christophe Lambert)

2. In the "Friends will be friends" Video

and finally

3. Through the whole "Live at Montreux" Gig!

MFG,
Chris

Brian's guitar on that video was a Washburn RR2V "Flying Vee".

John Deacon using a Travis Bean (?)

I saw some pics of Queen set up for a photo shoot playing unusual insturments.

Brian May was playing a Stratocaster copy. "Satellite" was on the headstock

John Deacon was playing a Travis Bean (?) bass.

I have never seen either of them play these instruments before or after.

Freddie was wearing blue jeans and a "Flash" t-shirt. It looked strange for him to be dressed like a 'regular guy'.

Does anyone know the purpose of pics without their regular axes ?

I guess it was a photo shoot for the promotional video of the song "Play The Game" from the album "The Game".
Brian's guitar was a Satellite Strat, John played a Kramer custom bass and Freddie had just drastically changed his look from the glam rock star to a "macho" figure.
