So, apparently John Paul Jones, Josh Homme and Dave Grohl formed a supergroup and are currently recording the debut album. Quote:
The super-group to end all super-groups? Perhaps so as two of the heavyweights in hard rock Josh Homme (Queens Of The Stone Age, Kyuss), Dave Grohl (Nirvana, Foo Fighters) join with Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones to form an as yet unnamed band.
The trio are presently in Los Angeles, recording their debut album, and although the project has been simmering for years, this week's confirmation comes from Brody Dalle, Homme's wide who leaked the news during an interview with the website Antiquiet; Dalle is Homme's wife.
"I'm not at liberty to talk about it," she said, "but I think it's pretty ****ing amazing ... Just beats and sounds like you've never heard before."
| All i have to say is it sounds like a trifecta of awesome. Wow.

| | | Oh, make no mistake TOTD was exceptional, IMO. But one album, and a few tours when I was like 7 is still a letdown for me. |

And with JPJ locking in = I'd LOVE to hear this!!
Temple of the Dog was a one time group formed to play the songs of Andy Wood of Mother Love Bone (RIP).
It was never meant to be a permanent group as the players all had strong working bands at the time = Pearl Jam & Soundgarden.

If you want a link just type supergroup Dave Grohl (or similar) in google.
Its big news. |

If so, I have a hard time imagining that not being incredible. |

I am willing to eat my words on all this though, in the case that im all wrong, i hope mike tones it down just a tid bit.

I also understand why Mike doesn't like going to the dessert sessions. A week of drug induced recording. Just too weird.

They got together as a tribute to their friend, Andrew Wood, after he OD'd on Heroin.

The remaining members went on to form Pearl Jam, and Chris Cornell went back to Soundgarden. |
