Joint 'problem' ?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,
Recently the top joint of my third finger ( fretting hand ) has been clicking a lot, quite loudly, sometimes with the sensation of it being slightly out of place or dislocated. It is not painful and there is no swelling but I'm concerned whether it may be an injury or some sort and could possibly lead to athritis? So basically is it benign if my finger clicks loudly when I play or should I see a doctor? By the way in all my years of playing I've only recently developed this.

Thanks
