Anyone bought a bass from him? He's got some interesting stuff but it seems to be hard to get hold of him.

Juan's shop is less than 30 min away from me, so I pop in from time to time.

He's also a TBer.

I haven't purchased anything from (but have used a LOT of his time in the shop trying stuff out).

I have also called him several times... usually on Saturdays, if that's any help.

Is he just a guy with a lot of basses as opposed to a real store? I've had problems getting him to reply to questions. I figure he must have a "day job"

He has a real store; I've been there.

I got my Ritter and Phil Jones Bass rig from Juan. He's a great guy and I'd definitely buy from him again.

He's a very nice guy. He is also a busy man, try him again, I'm sure he'll get back to you!

Juan is a great guy. I pop in his shop from time to time (my office is 2 miles away), and have bought several things from him. He's a real nice guy, has good deals and great basses. Don't hesitate to do business with him....he's very honest and truly looks out for the player, not just out to make a sale....

I've bought both of my Bergantino cabs and my Demeter preamp from Juan. He's a real pleasure to do business with. I've never had any problems getting in touch with him. I'd suggest that you leave your return phone number on his answering machine. He'll definitely get back to you.

I don't know what I would do without him! Juan is a wonderful guy to deal with and I believe he is in the process of moving his stock to another location (though in the same set of buildings) that is bigger and has better environmental systems. You definitely want to work with him!

I bought a new GS112 over the phone from him for a far better price (and that's factoring in CA sales tax) than any of the big-name stores bandied about here. Delivery was fast, and Juan's definitely a cool guy!

I've been to Juan's store and purchased gear from him. He's extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I think he also runs some kind of copier or printer business, but the two businesses are in the same building.

Yeah, I think Juan uses the $$ from the bass business to fund his true passion--toner and inkjet cartridges;->

Haven't been there in a couple months but Juan was extremely helpful when I've gone. Didn't make any huge purchases there but I do buy strings or accessories when I go--gotta support yr local bass booteek! He must be doing something right because he manages to turn his inventory on those pricey basses pretty often.

BTW, loks like the new business name/website is http://www.bassandbeyond.com/.

I know Juan personally and have dealt with him many times, he is a great guy and a pleasure to do business with. Juan recently moved into a larger building and by all means check out the new website www.bassandbeyond.com By the way, I have never had any trouble contacting Juan, just give him a call or e-mail.
