for a while now I've been feeling generally unproductive in my own band....which is hard on myself and the members because i'm like, the main guy (string player) thats supposed to bring out riffage and make tunes.....I just get through a week of school (music major too...but lucky for me that's just reading music on a different instrument) and it's almost like you've heard so much about how inaccurate you are in pieces your working on it's almost your subconscious tells you theres no point in trying to work out your own music cuz it might suck worse.
It's kind of funny really.....in two weeks I'm supposed to be up on a stage performing songs that we wrote in the band's better years of playing (we have a new singer tho).......I don't really know why I'm posting this it's just i think my groups' finally starting to give up on me.....i've been suggesting since last week to my drummer him and the singer sort of go up to my school (40 mins away) so we can try and get a head start on things without pulling a rush job....but the drummer seems to have forgotten how to pick up his own phone.
anyone go through this type of stuff or am I just some sort of hopeless case? |
