Anybody else find that loud metal music can help you through some rough patches?

Just goes to show you music is always there for yah as cheesy as it sounds.

I'm going to be 50 in June. So, at this stage in my life, the remedy is usually a pitcher of martinis. Very, very dry, straight up, with olives. Thank you.

I'll usually listen to early Accept or Cliff-era Metallica if I'm in a sh!tty mood, and after rockin' out to that for a bit I feel much better.

Or, I'll hit the gym.

I usually just have to listen to any music to get into a good mood.

Music in general yes, but metal will always be my first and foremost. For moods like the one in question, my faves are In Flames, Arch Enemy, CoB, At The Gates, All That Remains, Kreator, and Lamb of God (to name but a few).

Priest always puts me in a good mood. Reminds me of my wild days of misspent youth...

Metal always puts me in a good/better mood, and if I'm pissed off or upset, allows me to get out the aggression by listening to (or playing) it. It's been a major part of my life for almost as long as I've been on this planet!

Cheers!
