Just "slightly" OT: Quality Caster Wheels?

Sign in to disble this ad
Somebody's gotta make quality, urethane cab casters!

Please tell me where to find them. Every music store I've checked with sells the same, cheap, friction stem caster wheels.

I'm sick and tired of dumping my gear every time my speaker cabs hit the slightest bump!

I'm finding all kinds of cool, urethane wheels on the net, but who makes a friction stem that will fit the brackets I all ready have???

yes, I'm frustrated

Try McMaster-Carr, an industrial supply house. Just enter "casters" in the search window and select the various properties you want. I use them all the time and they almost invariably ship the same day.

Yeah, if you can McMaster-Carr or another industrial supply company, you'll have much better luck than if you went with just a music-oriented store. Check someplace like Home Depot, too, or other large hardware stores.

I've bought 4 sets of the 4" wheels. They're as good as wheels need to be and the price is just about untouchable.

Went to all the local hardware stores: zilch

I appreciate the suggestions, but I'm looking for a set of removable casters with the friction pegs that you just yank out and, the biggest difference, urethane wheels.
