Ive been a member of this forum since Jan 2003, started playing bass in Dec of 2002, and currently I am majoring in music performance (electric and upright) at a local community college, am on the verge of teaching 2 students, playing in 3 bands, learning piano, and getting great grades in my music classes (ear training, music theory, jazz band, etc). In addition, music has kept me away from making poor choices in life and I have met my best friends through playing.
I just wanted to thank this forum and the members who are a part of it. Though I do not visit as frequently as I once did in earlier years, I feel Talkbass is partly responsible for me becoming so interested, and maintaining high interest in music/bass through these years.
This thread seems really corny, but I felt it was needed.
