I've been using the gigbag around a month now. I can say I am very pleased with it. This is my first case/rigid type gig bags so I can't really compare it to any of the others.
Looks
It has a pretty sleek look. Standard black and gray nothing out of the ordinary from most gig bags.
Zippers
The zippers appear to be pretty sturdy. I haven't had any problems with them hanging up or anything of the sort. Zippers are one of those time tested items though so I'll follow up if any problems arise.
Handles
The main handle is made of hard rubber. It is sewn and riveted to the case. The back handle is the same material as the case and it is sewn and riveted as well. The main handle has a great balance when carrying the case. The back handle is great for moving the bag around short distances(ei. around a room). The back handle isn't as well padded as it could be.
Storage
On the inside of the case there are two small zippered on each side of the neck support. I keep my tuner in one and my muti-tool and hex keys in the other.
The outer pouch runs the entire length of the case but near the middle of the case it expands out. There is a decent amount of space in there. It doesn't have a bunch of compartments that some might find useful. It has a laptop pocket. I use it to keep music. Outside of the laptop pocket is a mesh pocket I keep pens in and cd's etc. I just throw my cables on the outside of the mesh pocket.
Straps
The straps are hideaway. They have a zippered cover to keep them stowed away when not in use. When you want access to the straps you zip down the cover and fold it down into the bottom. I was a little worried that there seemed to be no formal way of storing the cover but it tucks into the bottom very well. The straps and the back are padded. The straps are stitched and have a backpack type loop above the stitch. The case wears well as a backpack. It stays still while walking and it's very comfortable.
Interior
The interior is your standard plush type material. Plenty of pad. The side walls are denser foam covered in a mesh type material. There is a neck block that keeps your head stock elevated and supported. The neck strap is very simplistic. I suppose it does it's job but them could have put some padding or a logo or something across it.
One of the cooler features of the bag is the way it closes. The front doesn't close over your bass, it sort of closes around your bass. As you zip the case it wedges you bass inside.
Overall
So far this gig bag has been great for me. It has more than enough protection for how I travel with my instrument, which is mainly by personal vehicle. I don't baby my instrument but I by no means man handle so I wouldn't know how it would handle being tossed into trailers or stuff failing on it. But, for what I do it is great.
