Keyboard problems...help?

Sign in to disble this ad
OK,got a bit of a problem and I know there are keys players on TB.

Anyway, I was playing some keys today and I noticed that the treble sound of my keyboard sounded pretty weak. I tweaked the volume right up to the highest setting and tried again. Same result. I tried feeding it through my Bose speaker system (thank deity of choice that there was no-one in the house!). I tried doing stuff with the reverb and other settings. Nothing seemed to work. It never used to sound like this...

Now admittedly my keyboard was a cheap piece of crap I bought some 3 years ago, and I've since played it a LOT more than I thought I would. I'm considering whether it would even be worth repairing it. It's a Yamaha PX E-313 or something like that...

Anyone got any ideas how to fix it? Or should I just buy a better set of keys?
