Are You In? - Incubus

... but thats kinda like a bass / drum intro, but i just love that line.

i second the nib, so what, whipping post, and jerry was a race car diver - all great

infectious grooves' cover of "immigrant song"
stick - "feul"
a. morrisette - "you oughta know"
rush - "cygnus x1"
rollins - "liar"
breeders - "cannonball"

ok so some are bass and drums and some even have vocals but all those make the hairs on the back of my neck stick up (ok they did until i started shaving them with the rest of the hair on my head)

A third vote for Bassically (that's what the other two meant when they said NIB )

Whipping post is fun to play, but boy did that intro hurt my fingers the first few times (I'm not sure why either - something about that riff...)
Intro to crash course is cool - Whether or not I can play that up to tempo is always a good indicator of if I am warmed up or not!

I'd always thought the intro to whipping post was in 7/4 and counted:
1 2-y & a 3 4-y & a 1 2-y & a 3 &
