Flea from the RHCP (as everyone knows) plays some awsome need to play riffs.

Also another cool one (alittle hard core though) is Hysteria by Muse.

Don't forget money by Pink Floyd. Once you get it it is rather simplistic, but it is really fun to play.

Rush's 'La Villa Strangiato' off the 'Hemisphere's' album and 'YYZ' from 'Moving Pictures' are some of my favorites.

Both of these recordings have a lot of cool bass lines.

For some of the best true "solo's" - not just a line in a song - you've got to go back to the classics...

Bouree' - Jethro Tull. (Glen Cornick)
Mountain Jam - The Allman Bros. (Barry Oakley)
School Days - Stanley Clarke
Blue Wind/Hed for Backstage Pass - Jeff Beck (Wilbur Bascomb)
El Verano - Pablo Cruise (Bud Cockrell)
Don't Change Horses/Going Down to the Nightclub - Tower of Power (Rocco Prestia)

Ok, that last one is more of a groove line but there probably isn't any better.

Anything by Vic Wooten (not that I can play too much of his stuff, but it's fun trying, and you learn some new techniques along the way)
