The Killers: Your Opinion

Sign in to disble this ad
Ok, so a few years ago when the Killers first arrived on scene with that "somebody told me" song i though, what kind of horrible crap is this.

then their other singles followed and I'll admit, i thought they were a lot better - Mr Brightside, Smile Like You Mean It, Jenny was a Friend... and I took a little liking to them

then Sam's Town came out and I thought, these guys are pretty good, I must have misjudged them.

But then, the other day, I hear their new single... that "Are we human, or are we dancer" crap.

Now I think i was right all along. maybe if i would have listened to their albums I could have seen through the cracks and realized that they sucked all along...

A solid B in my book. I like them, but they are not great.

And this is not in Miscellaneous (or even Recordings) because . . . ?

The Killers are one of those bands that I've had no interest in buying an album or putting their songs on my mp3 player, but I don't change the radio when they come on.

That about sums it up for me.

above average pop rock sums it up pretty well. although they do have a few songs that i really do like, mostly on hot fuss....jenny was a fiend of mine, all the things ive done, believe me natalie, blah blah.

I never really gave them any thought. I did however see them on a Austin City Limits show and I thought they rocked pretty good. I thought that his bass tone on that show was the best part. Loved it.

I'll agree that it's above-average radio pop, but still kinda lame 80's rehash. I'd rather just listen to my Joy Division and Gang of Four records.

I disagree. Saw them live at a music festival and they put on a decent show. Nothing special but certainly not "horrible".

Saw them at the Susquehanna Bank center in August at download fest. Decent show. Main thing is that CHICKS REALLY DIG EM. Audience was mostly female.

Bassist has some good lines. I think they're a good band. There's alot of dreck out there.

The singer's voice is so annoying that I can't stand to listen to them. And they butchered a joy division tune.
