If you're a King's X fan, grab their new one. I think it's their best cd since Dogman.

Oh man! Didn't know that they had a new one.

(Listening to samples...)

You're spot on with the Dogman comment. Although I liked Ear Candy and Tapehead, the albums after that lost me. And is that Jerry singing on "Julie"?

This album (from what I heard) is the freshest-sounding I've heard from them in a long time. The melodies are solid and the playing grabs you. Thanks for the info! I'm going to pick this one up.

I seriously need to sample some more King's X. Love their Gretchen Goes To Nebraska, which I discovered through constant playings of "Over My Head" on Music Choice's Metal/Hard Rock station and MTV2 during my late middle school/early high school days. Sounds like this is a very good time to do that sampling...

I would highly recommend Dogman, their self-titled King's X, Out of the Silent Planet, and faith hope love. Ear Candy isn't as popular but I really like that one too.

I haven't picked up "XV" yet, but plan to this week. IMO their last one, "Ogre Tones" is one of their best ever. Maybe only "Gretchen" is as good top to bottom.

I'm a huge King's X fan. I love all their albums from their first to Ear Candy. I don't own any newer King's X albums other than Black Like Sunday (newer but the songs are old). I'll have to get more of their stuff, I like what I've heard from Ogre Tones and I may have to check out the new one. If they had a pro shot dvd I'd be all over it.

It Just hit the door from Amazon. Awesome so far, the Dogman comparisons are spot on. It's been a long time since a King's X cd featured a lot of intricate guitar work, but I guess the 7 string makes Ty an "honorary" bass player.

Very thick sounding cd, would love to hear all the older stuff re-engineered to the groin shaking level they've achieved on the later recordings.

I wanna be Dug when I grow up.
