If you're a King's X fan, grab their new one. I think it's their best cd since Dogman. |

(Listening to samples...)
You're spot on with the Dogman comment. Although I liked Ear Candy and Tapehead, the albums after that lost me. And is that Jerry singing on "Julie"?
This album (from what I heard) is the freshest-sounding I've heard from them in a long time. The melodies are solid and the playing grabs you. Thanks for the info! I'm going to pick this one up. |

Love their Gretchen Goes To Nebraska, which I discovered through constant playings of "Over My Head" on Music Choice's Metal/Hard Rock station and MTV2 during my late middle school/early high school days. Sounds like this is a very good time to do that sampling... |

I don't own any newer King's X albums other than Black Like Sunday (newer but the songs are old). I'll have to get more of their stuff, I like what I've heard from Ogre Tones and I may have to check out the new one. If they had a pro shot dvd I'd be all over it. |

It's been a long time since a King's X cd featured a lot of intricate guitar work, but I guess the 7 string makes Ty an "honorary" bass player.
Very thick sounding cd, would love to hear all the older stuff re-engineered to the groin shaking level they've achieved on the later recordings.
