| | | | KNOW WHAT REALLY SUCKS ABOUT THE CLASSIFIEDS HERE?
Sign in to disble this ad
The fact that many don't understand how to sell stuff and that there word is meaningless; this has happened to me twice in the last 2 weeks:
Me - Sent a PM right after the auction telling seller that I would like to buy 3 items; also left the first message in the thread that said "PM sent"
Seller ( 20 minutes later) - 1st item is already sold but you can buy the other 2
Me (2 hours later) - OK, What is your Paypal address
Seller - Sorry they have already been sold
Since when have the classifieds become a live auction; both times this have been for very inepensive items
Now I remember why I hate people

Sellers need to take a guranteed sale when it is presented to them. I don't understand how you seem not to understand that simple logic?

I really do...

if the seller was selling several items and the guy initially wanted one then decided he wanted it all there is absolutely zero question that i would choose to sell to him over other interested parties. one payment one ship, its a no brainer |

That's how I feel anyways. Oh the GAS pains!! |

It's like if you go into a store and say you want to buy three dogs. They tell you one has sold, but the other ones are still available if you want them. You leave the store and come back two hours later and then say you want them. Can't blame the store for selling the other two in the time you were gone. The only time I assume an item is being held for me or that I am holding it for someone else is if I or they request the item actually be put on hold. |

Couldn't care less about small easily buyable items
I told the guy I wanted to buy it and he said OK; I got better things to do than wait around a computer all day for him to reply
With some of the above logic, a seller has no responsibilities selling here; items could change price or go on and off sale at their whim; same with descriptions or conditions
It's about being stand up |

According to your first post, he didn't give you his word about anything at all- he just said they were still available for sale. Unless you misspoke, then the responsibility is on you, not the seller. It's just like any other business in the world. Call a store and ask if they have something in stock, they say they still have it for sale. If you don't take the responsibility to put the item on hold/layaway, then you can't complain if it's gone when you decide to go down to the store and get it. |

It's about being stand up | Hate to be a butt, but welcome to the real world. Most people don`t care about others and are only interested in satisfying themselves. They go where the cash is... and where it`s the quickest. |

It's a shame to hear so many people excusing the behavior. If more people cared about little things like politeness and integrity, maybe things would be a bit better.
