Kudos to Bass Gear Magazine

I have had trouble getting mine - probably something to do with my internet provider over here in New Zealand or my own stupidity. Either way, through a series of emails Martin Roseman at Bass gear mag sorted it for me. I cannot think of any other magazine where a customer thousands of miles away would receive the same service from one of the bosses and for for a FREE magazine! Thanks guys, long may you rule.

I'm glad that Martin was able to resolve your issue for you. Thank you for the kind words.

Got my issue on my email. Great work Tom! I love the detail on the amplifer reviews. The true power at 8/4 and 2 ohms is especially useful. Much better than the fluff they print in another magazine for Bass Player(s).

Going to covert mine to a paid subscription. Keep it up Tom. You are on to something.

My only complaint is the format of the digital version is very hard to read. For the price I can't complain.

The default resolution needs to be changed if at all possible.

I love it. I think it's a great thing for bass playing gear heads all over the English speaking world. Go Tom!!!

BGM looks enticing and smart. The online version's format, while darned gorgeous and informative, just did not allow this guy with a modest-sized laptop to see it all very clearly. I guess my browser (Safari Version 3.1.2) is too creaky or buggy.

Nonetheless, congrats on a world class effort. I will subscribe!

Thanks for the kind words, folks. I do agree that there is room for improvement in the delivery/viewing mechanism for the free digital subscription. We are working on making it better, though, and I think it will be much better come issue #2.

Take care, Tom.

I read the first issue online last night and liked it very much too! I agree with the others about the online reader though. My eyes aren't so good anymore. I think it would be ideal if there was a single page per view as opposed to two and it had an option to expand the page width to the width of the browser, something like Adobe pdf viewer.

Hi Tom,
I have subscribed to the digital edition as well and I find it very informative. However, I could not find a way to actually download the mag. Am I missing something or is this as per design? Thanks and best of luck!

Cheers,
Gruby

You should've received your link to view the mag online almost instantaneously. Could it have ended up in your junk mail, perhaps? Unless ofcourse they are really having a problem with their system...

I subscribed tonight (Hawaii Time). I got the confirmation email within seconds. I pressed the confirmed tab in the email and got my password (in a seperate email) to access the e-version of the magazine in less than a minute.

Looks great so far! Thanks!

If we subscribe to the hard copy, does that mean we are supporting you as opposed to the free online version? I mean does it help at all or barely compensate for the printed media related costs?
