Larry Hartke is CERTIFIABLE....

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone seen the new Hartke ad in Bass Guitar with Flea and Bootsy on the cover.

The title of the ad is Larry Hartke is CERTIFIABLE.....and he gives out his cell phone # on the bottom of the page because he wants to talk to every player on the planet?

I wonder if this is some kind of scam or if he really is crazy. If it is his real number more power to him.

Maybe someone should call him and let him know about talkbass. I think I will tomorrow, I would'nt want to wake him at this hour.

Sweet, I'll call him. Haven't seen the ad yet, though.

Since it's already in print, I'm assuming there's no problem in posting it.
I'd tell him to keep the mullet; otherwise he'd look too much like my dad...
Tell him aluminum cone speakers make good burner pans on electric stoves.

From what I can find, that's not a cell phone number.

However, since Hartke is in NY, Larry may very much live in NJ, and it may be some sort of redirect to his cell phone.

Maybe?

Somebody call?

He should scrap his business and join a cheeseball cover band. Then he'd suck less.

Right??

I will say though, despite the doofus comment(s) on here.

Larry coordinates a huge Cinco de Mayo (sp?) show in Clifton NJ every year. I played it this past year, 'bout 7,000 people there. It's a big event.

He's pretty stand-offish. Not the most friendly dude. I met him, and he was kinda short with me. My band plays there every year, and say he's kinda cool. This was my first year, and thought he was a tad cocky.

Great show, despite that.

That's about a half hour from me and I've never heard of it.

I cant believe it took 16 posts for someone to finally get the guts to call him.
At my graduation ceremony, Conan Obrien announced his home phone number.... never called it. I know, Im a hypocrite. lol.
