Has Ler done anything outside Primus post-dating Primus. I know he was in Possessed, which is awesome, and that Blind Illusion band... but dude is TOO good to sit around and wait for Claypool to call about another Primus tour/album.

I'd love to hear an album where he had a little more creative control, he's such a great guitar player.

I really think he is underapreaciated as a guitar player, He really works well with Les' crazy stuff.

Larry is one of my (few) favourite guitar players, I too would like to hear more of his awesome playing. He doesn't even seem to have a myspace page for himself.

Larry is underrated in my opinion.

He is my favorite guitarist to work with Les. In fact the only guitarist that I have heard really gel with Les's style and enhancing it.

With Buckethead and Adrian Belew, Les had to just pretty much play "hold down the fort" bass playing, that could have been handled by 1000 other bass players.

I always saw Ler as a Todd Huth clone.... sure he's a great player, but his best lines were written by Todd IMHO.

Apparently the Triple-L ain't so fond of his Possessed days. A photographer in the local metal scene was shooting a Primus show and yelled "Possessed" from the pit. Larry shot him a sharp glare. I can't remember if he said anything to harsh to him as well or not.

Wow. No idea that guys was considered a good guitarist. I always thought he was unbearable. Maybe I have to revisit my Primus CDs.

Todd's lines were great, but I would by no means consider him a Todd Huth clone. The stuff Ler wrote has it's own style, and I personally dig more.

Lefty: Ler's style is a bit avant-garde, you might not be into it, but it is such a big part of Primus' unique sound. He is talented as hell, IMO, his playing is just very subtle and supportive... you'd think a bass player would be able to appreciate that.

His style is so unique that to me, he transends regular guitar playing altogether and reminds me more of painting with sound & colors. He is not an in your face chop gymnastics player but as Matt pointed out more supportive player. He was also another student of Joe Satriani, not that means a lot to some.

If you like Larry check out some of Nels Cline playing- another great guitarist who should be more recognized.
