Well! I started playing bass about may of last year, and I went about learning it probably the way most starters did. I went through all my favorite songs, and looked up tabs for songs with cool basslines. after becoming a bit better, I sort of realized what genres had more interesting bass and what was boring as hell. I like playing mostly all types of music but in preticular I'd like to get into funk/jazz type music. I'm all about broadening my musical horizon but theres only one problem, Im seventeen years old so It hard for me to find any old funk/jazz bands that could serve this purpose. I realize there's a wide age range on this forum and I'd appreciate it if some of the veterans could lead me onto some good music. I'd be really appreciative! thanks |
