i am having a hell of a time finding a teacher to help me learn the lap guitar, there is no one near me who teaches (or possibly even plays) the lap guitar. i know theres lots of instructional videos out there for it but ive found i learn better when actually working with another person face to face. how should i go about finding someone in the michigan/northern ohio area.

There are only 2 pedal steel guitar players in my neck of the woods. Have no idea about your area. I suspect it's going to be hard to find an instructor.

I'd suggest you check in with these guys.
