Learning Something New - Banjo!

Sign in to disble this ad
So I decided to go to the music store yesterday and get, of all things, a banjo. So far after a couple hours of noodling I have some random licks and Home on the Range perfected, and the beginning of Foggy Mountain Breakdown. Any banjo players here? Do you know where I can learn a bit more (online) and do you have any tips for a new banjo-er?

I only play tenor banjo (4-string) for traditional Irish music. Congrats however on joining the banjo family. Just don't start playing the music from that Deliverance scene, fun as it might be...
