| | Registered User | | | | | Leather strap that is NOT lined with suede?! I am having a hard time finding a 3" strap that is leather and is NOT lined with suede, and would prefer it to be smooth leather on the underside.
I discovered I hate the suede-lined straps when I recently received my order of a couple of Italia straps. I like more freedom of movement with my basses and the suede just sort of locks the bass in place. Also can't stand the 4" wide strap, and am looking for a 3" wide strap, as 2.5" seems a bit narrow.
So are there any strap makers out there that make a 3" wide leather strap that's smooth leather underneath that are on the shorter side (43" long?)
Thanks!

Edit: nope. 2.5 or 4.

Edit: nope. 2.5 or 4. | Moody and Italia only do 2.5 & 4" unfortunately. The 4" is just gigantic on my shoulder. |

I've had one for a couple of years now, and do prefer it to suede backing for the particular bass it's used with. |

I have the Guy Pratt/Duck Dunn model and it is a really nice strap.

It says 2.5", but keep in mind that's the leather strap itself (the colored part). The padded backing gets it to right at 3". Love these straps. |
