I've got all their music on CD - why should I care about this...

Any real fan would already have it all...

what's worrying me is if they give in to the current "trend" and compress it to heck and back to make it sound loud...

I missed the part of titled that said "Bruce: Led Zeppelin. . . Downloadable."

Besides, it's 2007. People download stuff.

I have all the Led Zep I could need, but cool, anyway. Everyday somebody discovers Zep for the first time, and there are good chances they would go to iTunes before the record store - if there are any left around. . .

Err yes - if you are true fan of a group, then you will want all that group's music - duh! So by definition any true fan will have all of Led Zep's music already!

Or do you have some strange definition of "fan" as somebody who doesn't actually want to hear any music....

Or somebody who only wants to hear a lower quality, compressed version of their favourite band's music...

You know what Bruce? I have ALL the Led Zep CDs in a very cool boxset, and i'll even add that I had previously bought Led Zep I,III and IV and a really cool 2dvd boxset as well as tshirts and posters.

Now on to the important part: DO I GET A COOKIE? (plz, nothing British)

no, that would not be a true fan... that would be a "completist"... a real fan would know which tracks and records to avoid as they are rubbish...

I too have all of Zeps music on CD and DVD. But it's cool that they're going to iTunes anyway.

I remember having to call up the record store at midnight and be one of the first 25 people to put their name on a list to reserve the Physical Grafitti album when it came out. This was in 1969 for all you kiddies out there. They did those kinds of things back then.

It came out in 1975... you must have had a very long wait then...

I didn't read the linked article, but... I just gotta ask... Why the hell did you even reply to this post? Like someone else said, was this person directing this towards YOU? Why should you care, indeed! What?? I've read many of your posts and I tend to agree with you say, but this post makes me think that you just can't help but try to put other people down. You may have a problem with this person or what they are posting, but then be honest about it. Do you have a weekly rudeness quota or something? To me, this post is like you telling off a little kid for offering you a lollipop because you own a corn syrup factory or something.

I was glad to see it available digitally because it will probably be on Rhapsody. I listen to Rhapsody at work so having it available on demand is great.

Well I am a big fan of Led Zep - I saw them play live in 1974 - why the hell(sic) did you reply to this thread - was it directed at you!!

Well I don't see anything rude in my posts - just stating the facts of the situation - whereas I see your post as very rude to me for no reason I can see!!

I didn't say "why the hell" or similar - that was you!

OK - tell me which tracks are "rubbish" - I like some more than others of course - but I wouldn't call any "rubbish" - could you do better....?

I would say "A completist" would more likely be somebody who buys lower quality compressed version of tracks they already own.....
