I don't know ... how can they call it a reunion with Bonham is dead plus Plant and Page have been playing together off and on for years? I guess for people who never got a chance to see the real Zeppelin years back it's as close as they can get. I was VERY lucky ... Led Zeppelin was the 1st concert I ever went to when I was 14 years old at the Boston Garden 10000 years ago! They played for 3 and a half hours straight ... no break, no back up band! It was awesome!

Sure, John Bonham will be sorely missed, RIP, but how cool to see Robert and Jimmy once again playing along to the backbeat wizardry of JOHN PAUL JONES!?!

Any speculations as to who will play drums? Jason Bonham?? or Zak Starkey maybe??

Guess you have a point ... didn't mean to come off so negatively. How about Mike Portnoy of Dream Theater?

Limp Blimp........pffffffffft.

After seeing them in 73, never cared for Zeppelin again. Good studio band, horrible live.

I heard Jason was gonna play for them also. Hes not what his father was, but he is a very nasty drummer. Bonzo was just too unique. I almost hope they dont tour, i kinda think it will tarnish thier reputation. 3/4ths of the band with the original drummers son is pretty good though. Reunion tours have been done with much less.

I missed out on Zeppelin tickets in the 70s ...pretty sad story.
But, I saw Jimmy Page when he was in The Firm with Paul Rogers..they rocked very hard. He played his Les Paul and a theramin with a bow like in the Song Remains the Same.
So hopefully any tour plans will include several shows here in Melbourne!

Postponed intill Dec. 10

From Jimmy Page copy and pasted from Led-zeppelin.com

MESSAGE FROM JIMMY PAGE TO O2 ATTENDEES:
[11.05.07] Email sent to ticket holders: "As you all know by now I was regrettably put in a situation where I had to postpone my performance at the Ahmet Ertegun Benefit show, on November 26th, due to a fractured finger. We have now rescheduled this show to take place, at the same venue, on December 10th. In doing so I was very conscious of the fact that many people are travelling great distances to attend. I do want to let everyone know that this decision was unavoidable. My apologies to anyone who has been inconvenienced by this change.

I would also like to thank everyone else involved for their help with making this change. Harvey Goldsmith, the trustees of the Ahmet Ertegun Foundation and, of course, the other artists who so willingly agreed to join us on the show. I look forward to the 10th December!" -Jimmy Page

Wow he is 63 years old hope he heals in time.

I know we all get old but its kinda depressing looking at Pagey with all that grey hair wonder if he'll dye it before the Dec 10th gig???

Depends under which conditions. I have live DVDs and plenty of bootlegs of live concerts where they ROCKED.

If you really think Led Zep is horrible live then you haven't listened to everything.

there was also talk of Dave Grohl drumming for it.. which would be so awesome considering how amazing he is at the drums and how huge a led zep fan he is... but i think it was decided on that the blood of Bonzo should succeed Bonzo hahaha..

Not to talk down Jason though.. he RIPS up!

I seen them to, at the Garden.
Around 1970, or 1971.
I was 12.
Seen them two nights.
My older brother worked for Don Law.
Both time they played over 3 hours.
I was to young, to really now what I was seeing.
This was when Zepplin was at there peak live.
Also seen Hendrix too at the Garden.
With Billy Cox.
AH, the good old days.

My brother did some work on the Crossroads set with Robert Plant and Allison Krauss a couple of weeks ago. He actually ended up having a few beers with Plant (his manager and a few others) after the show. Plant talked about the reunion show coming up and how they weren't going to do a reunion tour. To sum it up he said that the magic that used to be there was gone even before Bohnam passed. The guys did some press time a few weeks before the taping, and Plant made the comment that he forgot how much he really couldn't stand the rest of the guys. So unfortunately I wouldn't get your hopes up that they will do one any time soon.
