So, I found a downloadable Rush show online, that can not be found on any "official" record. It is a bootleg from some obscure (probably out of business) record company. It is incredible. From the Hemispheres tour and includes:
the Cygnus X-1 Duology
La Villa Strangiato
Xanadu
Closer to the Heart
By-Tor and the Snow Dog
Circumstances
YYZ
and more....
Awesome sounding show, I just question the legality. Is it illegal? How big a deal? Could I go to prison for this, pay a fine, or get blacklisted by somebody, etc.? I am seriously considering downloading this, but I don't want to end up shelling out my Rickenbacker money or going to court for it....

Bootlegs have been around since the dawn of time. They were once called sheet music.

| | | I wouldn't sell it. I'm not that stupid. Thanks guys. Once I get to my "wall-of-meat" computer (the old junky one that I use for risky stuff that might involve viruses or adware), I think I'll burn it to a CD, then put that on my iPod.
Now, what artwork to use? Exit Stage Left, All the World's a Stage, or Different Stages?

| | | | Post-Hemispheres actually. I forgot to mention. It's after the fact. It is described as Hemispheres, but I know that it is most likely Late Permanent Waves or a compilation of several bootlegs from two different tours.

| | | | I still want it. The Cygnus X-1 Duology would be well worth it. Xanadu too. Although, I have Xanadu. I'm looking at "Taurus Pedals from Hell" from the Permanent Waves tour, too.

You can probably check out a review of that bootleg at:

So, all copyright infringment cases for Canadians can be deflected to our government as by collecting the tax they assume Fiduciary responsibilities.
So, download it, then email Rush and tell them to pick up some compensation from the Canadian Gov who already collected it in there name.

Looked. Nothing actually downloadable. This one looked safe, and I didn't get any red flags, but, still, sites like that, however official, give me the shakes. I've gotten too many viruses to trust any website that is not "official". I'm going to go to my W.O.M. computer when I do download. I just want to know, what sites actually offer downloadable content?

| | | Will the mods get on to us for talking about things that could be construed as semi-illegal? I can't afford to lose too many more points.

(I'd be happy to take that link via PM if you don't want to post it)
