Les Claypool @ House of Blues Orlando

I'm gonna be seeing Les Claypool Saturday June 16th at the House of Blues in Orlando. Any of you other TBers going to the show? This will be my first time seeing him live.

Read earlier this week on this forum that Les has an injured hand and don't expect much. In fact he was describing the show as terrible.

Whats your source on this? thats a lot of diggin to go through for me right now, so if you can find it, id appreciate it.

Its a free show for me. My baby brother works at a radio station and got me and my date free tickets and backstage passes. So if he sounds terrible I might be willing to over look it cause I'll get to meet him.

I'm seeing him on the 19th in Austin, TX. I've only seen him live with Primus before, so I'm looking forward to finally getting to see one of his side projects(although i wish it was C2B3)

I have no idea of what to expect from the show tonight. I know he's a bad ass but I'm not really that familiar with most of his work.

I gotta call big time trash on his hand being broken and the show being terrible. His playing was great, he did have a drum solo for a while that was incredible. Drummer and xylophone went off together. But all in all the show was great. Much better than expected. Meeting and chilling with him was even better. He's so cool and very laid back. Great time!

Or maybe Les sucked it up after being boo'd at a show and not wanting to blow the whole tour?

I dont care what his reasons were for putting on a great show. BTW, I had backstage passes and asked him about the broken hand thing, he just looked at me like I was stupid or something. So I dunno.
