This could turn out to be a very useful thread, especially for new players (and old heads, too) considering buying a used instrument Good idea, JAUQO.

I hope hope so.

With the epidemic levels that the counterfeiting of Fenders has taken in the last several years we need to be highly informed as possible.

I fully support this thread...and frankly, I think it needs to be stickied once we get some more of the Fender experts in here to post some more example(old or new for that matter).

Something like this could be extremely useful, because you're right Jauqo...there's a LOT of counterfeiting going on right now and we could all use a resource like this.

Here's mine. Bought from a TB member. There is no serial number to be found and I suspect it is a rebranded Squier. The neck is crap although it doesn't play too bad. I have upgraded several componants which I plan to remove as soon as I get a 'real' Fender.....or new neck. By the way, those are not real block inlays. They are stickers 'hint, hint'.

Masterbass is the TB member I bought it from

Thanks.

We need to have as many fake, suspect fakes and the people who are selling these instruments as possible.
