Until January 15, amateur musicians are asked to show the world why music is important to them through uploading a music video for an original piece of music and writing a 250-word entry describing why they deserve to win. Non-musicians have the chance to win a sweepstakes for one of 12 music phones from November 21 – February 12 by registering or voting for their favorite user-generated music video in the contest video gallery. The video that receives the most votes will be awarded the music video grand prize of $10,000 cash to help them kick-start their music career.
