Would John Lennon really cover one of your tunes?

He didn't say "John Lennon would cover Oasis". He was asked which song John Lennon would be most likely to cover and gave an answer. The title is very misleading. To apply their title methodology to a hypothetical situation: Let's say a police officer gives a speech telling people, "Don't buy guns illegally." Spinner would more than likely title it "Police Officer Says: 'Buy Guns Illegally'".

Did the person use the words? Yes. Were they taken out of context? Yes.

That being said, I'm not really an Oasis fan. That article just struck me as being ridiculous.

Dude, he was asked a question, and given the set of circumstances of the question, felt that one song most qualified for some reason...not necessarily that Lennon would go out of his way to cover it.

Anyway, sure, Liam is pretty full of himself, but not necessarily here.

Agreed all the way around. I can't stand the guy, but this sorry excuse for a article has a completely unfair slant.
