"Liberty City" chart needed ASAP emergency

Sign in to disble this ad
I just joined Richard Bona's band and I suddenly MUST learn "Liberty City" by this Saturday (12/20/08). There is NOT enough time for me to transcribe Richard's recording of it so I'm looking for any lead horn part for the tune, perhaps transcribed from a Jaco recording. I confess that I am a trumpet player and I'm sorry. I know this forum is for bass players but I am truly stuck and need help. I promise I am legit and you can go to my website at www.toddhorton.com if you're not sure...

I saw on here that a bass player with the profile name "PlayTheBass" said in a post from several years ago that he had transcribed the horn parts from Jaco's "Liberty City" just for fun. Does anyone know if he's still here?

Thanks a lot,

Todd

Hey man, I can't help, but I just want to say congrats on getting in Bona's band! And if you're playing lead getting the music isn't the only thing you have to worry about...that **** is high!

Anyways, sorry I'm of no help and good luck with the band.

...so I won't dupe, but I did want to highly recommend a visit to Todd's website for some outstanding music.

Good luck (again) with the hunt...and the gig!

As an ex trumpet guy, I had to laugh at that.

Did you check trumpetherald.com? May be worth a shot.

I feel your pain, bro. I've done the "last minute tune overload" many times over the years.
