Just had an awful frontman.

Discuss this topic, a solid decade past its prime.

What more do you need to consider Limp Biskit awful?

A band is more than just it's vocalist. The rest of the band's actually pretty solid and even had some interesting stuff going on if you can look past Fred.

I still think they kick ass, but I'm FL White Trash just like them and I'm always glad to see one of us make it.

I agree, they had some nice songs. I think nowadays people think it's "cool" to say nu-metal is crap, hence all the hate on KoRn, Limp Bizkit etc.

I was just thinking the same thing about Madonna's early studio musicians. Too bad she can't sing either.

I do think that the band would've received a lot more credit with a more creditworthy singer. I think his lack of skills overshadowed the quality of the rest of the lineup.

Radiohead made some decent music, their singer should have been dragged outside and shot though.

there was only one time i liked LB.

i went to a Deftones show and they were the opener..no album, no video and no one had heard of them at all.

when they opened the set they started playing..just one lonely guitar.
very plunky and fun..then the singer started... and i was like H--- S--- are they playing ------ George Michaels? the stage was still dark. the crowd was dead silent and not moving and noboy else had ANY clue of what they were playing.

when it came to the "i gotta have faith" portion when fred screamed faith an giant wall of flood lights blew on from behind the band and i witnessed a couple thousand people staring looking like deer caught in the headlights and i thought "this is EXACTLY how you introduce yourself to a crowd" stun em with the first punch and knock em out with the second. at that second limp bizkit was the coolest thing ever..five minutes later they were playing something about a stinky finger and i thought the lead singer needed to die.

technically a tight good sounding band if you like effects processors...they be better if fred would drop dead

Thumbs down

I always thought Wes Borland was a pretty creative dude. Bassist and drummer were alright. Durst is... horrible. Okay on the first album I suppose, for '90s aggro/whatever.

Bad frontman, Borland was always a pretty solid guitarist and the rest of the band was ok but Fred had his hands to much in their playing and didn't let them actually stretch their legs out.

Nah, I genuinely hate Nu-Metal. I just happen to be cool as well.

I liked LB a lot... when I was in 5th grade.

Honestly, they have a few good songs that I wouldn`t skip if they were being played on the radio but they aren`t good enough to make me go out of my way to listen to them.
