Linda Manzer -- a bassist's acoustic guitar builder?

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone ever checked out Linda Manzer? She's built 15 guitars for Pat Metheny (including the his baritone guitar featured as the only instrument on One Quiet Night, and the Pikasso) and has made a number of fretless guitars -- including 6 and 12 string classicals for Mr. Metheny, as well as an 8 string classical for Shunuchi Sawada and, apparently more recently, another 12 string classical. Has anyone ever had an opportunity to play one of these VERY intriguing guitars? The sound of the baritone guitar on One Quiet Night (I got this tonight) that she built blows my mind. "Hauntingly beautiful" says it all!
