Okay, not quite pure music, but how about this:

I purchased a ticket through TicketMaster/LIve Nation for a show. Ticket cost $40. The "convenience" fee was $12. I decided to print my own ticket, so they charged me another $4. ***?

So if I read this right, I paid $12 for the convenience of paying $4 to print my own ticket.

Gotto love it...

Yeah, Its pretty lame. Now if most of the money went to pay musicians I wouldn't mind as much.

Yes that is quite the racket they have going there. (ticketmaster) in Canada is the same deal. Wonder why the big corporations were split up and yet no competition (in Canada at least) for tickets sale.

So 12$ conv. fee times 16,000 tickets sold for a average arena etc equals 192 000$.
Nice

Yeah it's a huge racket. Thankfully Brown Paper Tickets is getting used more and more for small and medium sized venues.....
