Post some videos of local bands that you think are on the way to making it big or at least bigger than they are.
I like to hear bands like this. They always seem to have the most talent and know what they're doing.
Here's two local bands. One is on the way to getting there and the other gets played on the radio all over the world, but some people haven't heard them yet.
Heaven Hill(Southern Metal)-
"Top of the South"- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8R19...om=PL&index=36
Cage the Elephant(alternative)-
"lotus"- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peYgu...eature=related
"Ain't no rest for the Wicked"- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f5kbB...om=PL&index=10
The band Tantric is also from Louisville, but most people have heard them. If you haven't, search them. |

They've gone on a few east coast tours already and even opened for Mudvayne in Florida as a midpoint to one of their tours.
Some of their newer stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNzaaTYpxU4
Older stuff. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e7JEWQ-UdC0

This is one of there great songs from the early 2000s. They broke up and regrouped to be an acoustic group. I have no idea what they have been up to as of late but they had potential.

I just checked out some of the posted links. I've heard Ain't No Rest for the Wicked before. It's pretty catchy.

They must play in the fairly local Portland area and I don't get up that way TO much unless there is a big show.
Sounds pretty damn good though.
I can feel the doom oozing from my ears.

Search "Parkway Drive The DVD" on Youtube, the documentary tells the whole story from their humble beginnings in their small surfing town to pulling huge crowds in Europe and the USA. It's a great watch |

They stayed with a friend of mine for a week or two. They were super cool. We played lots of golf, drank lots of beer and jammed a bunch. They also took the opportunity to work on their tans lol, the whitest white people I ever saw.
