| Logarithmic perception of felt bass?

We all know our hears hear in a logarithmic fashion, Fletcher-Munson curves and all that. But bass isn't just about ears, it's also perceived by way of the kick in the chest. Our chest doesn't necessarily feel things the way the ear hears them. Has anyone studied how that bass kick is perceived at different levels? Are there any "equal-loudness curves" that just measure the feeling of the bass? |
