what songs have you mastered by Greenday? The most "chellenging" ones? I'll try and see if I can think of something more challenging for ya. Im also a punk/hard rock bass player.

Radio by Rancid is a challenging song to play, and lots of fun.
I also like As Wicked (I think thats what its called), Fall Back Down and Ruby Soho by Rancid.
The Bouncing Souls also have some fairly tricky basslines too.
When I think of some more I'll let ya know.

Check out Authority Zero, Bad Brains, and Botch.

Botch had four great albums, all with great bass playing. I Against I is the best way to get into the Bad Brains. Authority Zero only has two albums and they are both good-to-great.

Punk is generally not an overly complex genre to play, but some cool basslines:

Ruby Soho by Rancid= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5IV3AbLBa0

Anything off the Dropkick Murphys Singles Collection= http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kz9gzw4Ed8I
(Excellent and criminally underated band and album)

Your best bet would to be to learn some other genres. Metal, jazz, funk, anything. It will make you a better punk player as well.

But if you're hell bent on punk you could try learning some of Matt Freeman's solos.

YEa why limit yourself to saying your just a "punk" player. Learning other styles will maek you a better bassist.
