hey guys looking to get some earphones. I got around 100-150 to spend and was looking for some good quality ones. I was looking at etymotic ER-6i's and was wondering if anyone has any feedback on those. Other than that i'm open to suggestions on in ear phones or headsets.

Just google earphone reviews. There are reviews all over the internet. I just bought an H2 recorder and wanted some "better" earphones to use with it. So I checked out the reviews. LOTS of information and opinion. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted or needed. There are in ear buds, "open" actual headphones that let ambient sound in and "closed" ones that isolate you from sound at your location. Based on reviews I settled on two types. I got a set of Klipsh Image S4 buds. They are amazing for the money. I also got a set of the memory foam plugs for them which work very well (with the wax filter). The other were Koss portaPro open style folding headphones. These things really sound great and are dirt cheap. The folding idea was particularly nice for a portable recorder. Sennheiser also has a similar folding model with equally high ratings. All this stuff is readily available from Amazon.com.

Check the reviews. One very cool thing I noticed was at the Sam Ash store they have this kiosk with about 50 headphones hanging on it so you could compare them all. If you find that near you, you'll love it.

+1 to reading reviews.

what i would do is go to your local bestbuy or any electronics store, see what earbuds they have in the price range your comftorble with (and dont be afraid to look into cheap ones! my current pair was only $40 and i really like them.) then just google each one and read the reviews, and figure it out, wich one is right for you.
